has anyone seen a box score for the Ferndale/Willits game?
Does anyone know how many yards Cimilino gained in the Richmond game?
Cimolino had 13 touches for a total of 302 all purpose yards and 5 TDs, 9 rushes for 126 and 2 TDs, 3 receptions for 106 and 2 TDs, and returned the opening kickoff 70 yards for a TD
I read the same stats for Cimolino in the PD. It should be a great game this friday night when Ft. Bragg comes to Lakeport.

Sportsmanship is a two way street. The gentlemanly path when starters are on the sideline is to call off the blitzing. It is always wise to see both sides before pointing fingers.

I'm surprised that Middletown is not ranked in the top 8. Reasoning?
Typical Fort Bragg football?
I would say it is typical of high school, college and pro football for starters to remain in the game until at least halftime or even the 3rd quarter.
If there is a team that pulls its starters in the 1st or 2nd quarter then that is great for them, but I would not say its a normal occurrence in football.
In response to the current rankings. I feel there should be no rankings until week 4 of the season. There should be time for things to work themselves out and not have to end up going off one or two games.
Since the rankings did start this week, Middletown really needs to be included on the list. I was at the game and the Mustangs stood toe to toe with the Pride for four quarters.
Middletown could definitely be on the list...They are right on the cusp. Honestly, it is myself trying to be impartial. I'm an '83 Middletown grad and former player. But I love Div. IV football and see the good and poor qualities in every team and game.
As far as sportsmanship goes, I do see both sides. It's a tough thing really. Sometimes a game just gets away. The only time I have ever seen an overtly unsportsman-like act at this level was way back in the early 90s (may have been late 80s, can't remember). Clear Lake was playing Menlo for the championship. Menlo had a very big lead with just seconds remaining and they had the ball. In a championship game, with the last seconds falling off the clock, the Menlo quarterback dropped back to pass and threw a long bomb. Clear Lake, assuming they would take a knee, didn't cover as well as they would have had it been earlier in the game. Menlo scored a final touchdown with no time left.
That was poor sportsmanship.
Good Luck to all the Class A and smaller schools this weekend. It seems so difficult to get attention from print media for the smaller schools. They deserve much more recognition. Thanks for maintaining this site.
St. Vincent is traveling to Middletown and Fort Bragg the next two weeks. They beat both last year. Can they do it again?
If you were the coach at Ferndale wouldn't you want the chance to play in the small school state bowl game? Ferndale could play division V and have a much greater chance of going undefeated. Is there a deadline for choosing which division you plan to play in for the playoffs?
I agree, If Ferndale had played down last year, they would have been in the bowl game instead of Hamilton City. Ferndale would have done a much better job representing the north half of the state.
I couldn't agree with the last two statements any more.
BTW, we are playing up again this year...
