Hello i just wanted to comment a little on the ferndale game. i dont want to take anything away from ferndale but swett gave them the game due to mental mistakes and turnovers. not 1 time did ferndale sustain a good solid drive every score was from before or on the 35yard line of swett if you notice the total yardage of ferndale it wasnt that much i dont think they got over 200yards total offense.if anthony arguello would have had a good game and evan ray as well ferndale would have had a loss on their record or it would have been considerably closer. swetts defense in the first half was pretty solid stopping ferndale on a goal line stand which they had 8 chances from within the 5 yard line anyway good game ferndale hope to play you again later in the season
You posted the same exact thing in the Times-Standard comments section... please. Yes, Swett made some mistakes but it truly wouldn't have mattered either way. A lot of "ifs" "ands" or "buts" coming from you. Your defense did come out strong to begin, but as soon as Ferndale made their adjustments it was over. Total yardage meant nothing in this game. What about the 57-yard punt return? I'm sure Evan Ray remembers it. You haven't "given away" a game when the final score is 57-0. On the other comment you said Ferndale was mediocre at best. What does that make Jon Swett?
like i said ferndale is a disiplined teams but that doesnt mean they are a great team. by no means should they be considered no 1 the refs were from ferndale as late hits and holding call were over looked for ferndale but called on swett thats ok though you think ferndale is so great any one can give a blind side shot thats no big deal i have seen many of those by many other teams evan ray got right up and was ready to go 2 plays later instead of sniveling and saying he couldnt continue tells alot about the heart and desire of a player so dont get all jolly about the hit it happens all the time ferndale has had good teams in the past but this is not one of them later
You sound a bit young and immature so I will give you the benefit of the doubt, but you couldn't be more wrong. This Ferndale team IS a great team no matter what you might think. This is one of their best teams to come along in a while. They are stacked even while fielding only 21 players. That they completely dominated Swett, who was 2-0 and ranked decently, says a lot. You must be watching a different game. Blaming the refs is laughable. It was a clean game both ways and I can assure you that none of those referees were from the town of Ferndale, but hang on to whatever you want. Plus, I'm not at all "jolly" about the hit on Ray. It was a vicious hit that does happen on returns, but rarely to the extent that the players' helmet pops off and shoots 15 feet straight up in the air like that. Great hit and a testament to Ray for continuing the game later (he did not get "right up" by the way). You like to see good hitting but never want to see a player hurt. Evan looks like a helluva athlete, but you are silly to deny that he and your QB Arguello were completely shut down by a smothering defense. Learn some football and find a way to lose with some dignity. You only look foolish here. You keep saying that we're not that good, but we just beat you handily.
