Recruiting II

According to Scout.com, two St. Mary's players are being recruited by Div. I, Div. II, and Div. III schools.

Wide Receiver Najee Lovett is being recruited by Cal Poly; Hawaii; North Dakota; Oregon; San Jose State; TCU; and UCLA.

Safety Henry Organ is being recruited by Cal Poly; Oregon State; Portland State; San Diego State; San Jose State; Southern Utah; UC Davis; and UCLA.

Several players from Div. IV have scouting reports on ESPN's recruiting website, including Fort Bragg running back Jake Cimolino.

If you know of anyone from our division who is being recruited by any four year school, let us know.

Kyle Harmyk had an excellent senior season. I will be rooting for him and all the redwood empire players to excel at the next level.

Does anyone know if Clear Lakes RB Kevin Burt has plans to play after high school? Or any other NCL I players?

Clear Lakes Kevin Burt has no plans to play college ball. This seasons coaches made him lose all ambition to play at the next level. The Clear Lake coaches are horrible...

Thats unfortunate news about Burt and the coaches. I thought he was one of the better backs in the league this past year.

Actually Kevin Burt just had knee surgery and was never really sure he was going to continue after High School. He is going to be pursuing fire science.

Kevin Burt had a great senior season. He broke almost all of Clear Laker rushing records. He made the NCL South all league team for both offense and defense. The other Clear Lake all leaguers are senior running back Ryan Lunas. Senior O Lineman Vincent McIntosh. Junior O Lineman Mike Ventresca. Senior D Lineman Derek Larson. Senior Defensive Back Ryan Richardson. Senior Aaron Adams got honorable mention.

Congratulations to the junior lineman for making all league. Not many juniors made it this year.

This was included in a Recordbee article at the end of the regular season, but it did not include the entire teams.

NCL I North

Co-Offensive MVP
FB Sr. RB Jake Cimolino
FB Sr. QB Brent Moyer

I dont know the MVPs of the South, but maybe the CL person that posted their All League players knows.

Small Schools State Coach of the Year:

Jack Moyer (Fort Bragg)

With his son, Brent, as the starting quarterback, the Timberwolves captured the North Coast Section Division IV section championship with a postseason run that included wins over private schools like Salesian of Richmond and Justin-Siena of Napa.

In 32 years, Moyer has led the Timberwolves to seven section championships and his 219 career wins is among the top 50 all-time for coaches in California history.

What a ride to end 2009!! From the 7th seed in the NCS D-IV playoffs to the #7 ranked team in State D-IV.

A huge congratulations to the Timberwolves and Jack Moyer for receiving the Small Schools State Coach of the Year honor. I was surprised Fort Bragg ended up ranked #7 in the state, but I was shocked to find out Coach Moyer was named Coach of the Year. Great ending to a Great season!!

I hear that Fort Bragg's Waterboy, has offers to College of the Redwoods, Plus Dana Grey. He has been clocked at 5.6 to the kickoff tee and back. That kid has moves for a ball boy that you only see every so often. I can see him chasing tees down on Sundays.
