NCS should be more than happy. Ferndale/Fortuna game will most likely be biggest crowd ever at any NCS game in history.

Im rooting for ferndale,as they are the only team fighting for a bowl game.would love to see healdsburg upset salesian..salesian needs to play up to d3, with that big city private recruiting base,to get the attention they crave.

I would love to see healdsburg beat salesian also but i dont think it will happen, i agree they should play div 3 since they do get to recruit all those city kids. Yeah it woul be nice to see ferndale go to state. I am still upset about last years game when middletown chocked it away against salesian, they would have went to state oh well you got to move on, just wait for a couple of years.

Joke. They haven't even won yet and the excuses are already flying thick

No excuses just the truth

Why is Ferndale the only one with a chance to go to State? Wouldn't any of the winners have the same chance? I would think Salesian has a better rep anyway? I don't get it.

the small school bowl is for 500 or less so anyone over 500 plays for the d3 spot...oh they all have a chance...that chance is right around zero.

Yes, Ferndale qualifies as a small school for the state championship game because they have less than 500 students.

Salesian is a Division III school in the state championship and is ranked below several Div. III schools vying for section titles in the north (including Cardinal Newman and Marin Catholic).

I would like to see CIF adopt divisions that are closer to those that we have in the NCS, but I doubt that will happen. Next year things will be a little different though.
