St. Mary's is playing Pinole Valley tonight I believe, not Albany.

Salesian was inside the ten going in for a score to take a two possession lead over Valley, when there back fumbled and Valley picked it up and took it 95 yards for a go ahead score, Salesian is top 4 in this Division if you are picking Valley #1. I see Ferndale and salesian ahead of SV and Calistoga.
1 Middletown
2 VC
3 Salesian
4 Ferndale
5 SV
6 Calistoga
7 SB
8 Emery

I do think VC earned the #1 today with their win over Salesian. You can't really say that they have a more convincing win than M'town did over Salesian even if you discount the forfeit and count it as a win, however, you cannot discount that VC had a much tougher schedule and a much tougher league and their 3 losses were to league champions of leagues that are all higher rated than the NCL. Whatever happens though, it looks to be a good field for D-5. We shall see tomorrow what the committee thinks!

The problem with comparing leagues is that you can only play who is on your schedule. Middletown spanked four teams that will be seeded in div IV. They are league champs, with a 9-1 record. They should be number 1. Remember the forfeit win over Salesian was done without Benson playing, who should be the NCL 1 MVP. Losses are losses, Valley has three. The more losses you have the more questions that cab asked.

Outside of San Marin, it looks like D V is just as tough as D IV.

I agree. But each side has to argue what works for them and let the committee decide and then let it play out on the field! Good luck to all!

It will be another exciting post season. I can't wait to get the match-ups tomorrow. The NCS site has a link for the live announcement of the seedings for all five divisions.

I'm going as follows:

1. VC
2. M'town
3. Salesian
4. St. Vincent
5. Ferndale
6. Calistoga
7. St. Bernard
8. Emery

Tomales gets left out. According to NCS, these are the only 9 that applied for D-5. If they flipflop VC and M'town, I expect that they will flipflop St. Vincent and Salesian too. JMHO
