Who are the teams on the bubble?
Division IV bubble teams would be:
St. Patrick-St. Vincent
Piedmont
Del Norte
Kelseyville
Fort Bragg
Division V bubble teams would be:
Emery
Cloverdale
South Fork
Tomales
div 4 is really weak this year compared to last yr... theres only a few teams on top that can really win last year there was alot more depth
If clear lake beats fort bragg does that mean there would only be 12 teams in the playoffs for d 4?
If VC beats Salesian on Saturday, do they get the #1 seed over Middletown in D-5?
My guess is no because middletown beat salesian also. It counts as a loss because theyre kicker was ineligible for that game but they still beat them
If VC routes Salesian, I believe they will take the 1 seed. If it's a close game either way, I think Mtown will grab the 1 seed.
In D4 I think it's San Marin's title to lose. Their only loss was to the third ranked D2 team in nor cal (Northgate) 45-42.
I would think that VC's strength of schedule and league strength would propel them past M'town if they beat Salesian. According to Calpreps, they are the only team with a plus schedule in the rankings.
Cal Preps has Mtown rated at a 17.5 and VC at a 10.2. But Cal Preps doesn't seed the teams. I think who goes #1 depends on whether VC struggles against Salesian.
Where would you guys seed Calistoga if they win out, and if they lose where would you seed St Vincent sitting at 8-2. Salesian is lucky for getting that forfeit win because if they lose to VC they would be 4-6 and maybe not making the playoff at all.
I'd want whatever seed doesn't send me to the mud hole in Ferndale I could care less what the order is. Ferndale isn't fun
Haha, you must be a one of the many victims to lose there. It's not as bad as everyone thinks it's is. If your team is used to playing on field turf all year then it's a big difference. Other than that it's all in your guys head. If your good enough you'll beat who ever it's is, reguardless what the field condition.
It's hard to tell on the Calistoga seeding. They have had a great year. If they win, they should probably be no lower than 3. VC has to beat Salesian today to have any chance at a #1 seed. And then they have to argue strength of schedule and league strength. That is not to diminish a great year by Middletown or Calistoga or any other team, but you have to argue what works best for you. Calistoga and M'town have the first criteria of overall record covered. If SV wins, I think they go at #3 due to all the head to head matchups assuming VC wins too which is a big if at Salesian.
