2010 Seedings

Well, the playoffs are set. All that has to happen is for the games to be played and a champion crowned. I am very excited and looking at the teams in the post season, there are several that I think can challenge for the title. Sure, some teams will need a lucky bounce of the ball or two, but that always seems to happen in high school football.

Good luck to all the teams and congrats on a great season.

I will post a more in-depth preview for each game this weekend on Thursday. I will also post live updates for the games as available.

Anyone know when the ncl south all league is going to be announced?

I think they are going to skip it this year and just give all the top players for st helena all league.

St. Helena will get their players and all the extra all league spots will be passed over to the ncl north.

Thats bullshit to even say. Just because the teams in the South didnt win many games doesnt mean that they dont deserve honors as individuals. I know of some kids this year that worked hard and did well. Jason Harlon from Upper Lake had almost a thousand yards rushing. Jake Chapin, Mike Ventresca, and Tyler Beets from Clear Lake each had around 60 tackles. Look at the individual talent when it comes to All League.

You mentioned two teams, Upper Lake and Clear Lake. It’s hard to find talent in these two teams when both are the worst they have been in ten years. It is partially the players but more so the coaching decisions. Clear lake was an 8-2 team last year but finished regular season 6-4. Upper Lake has been on a slide for a while. Next year Clear Lake will not have a winning season once again. I hope the wide receiver from Clear Lake will be thrown a bone for all league because with the new alignment it may be the last for a while.

No upsets in the first week of playoffs.

Great, good for those kids. 3 Kids on St. Helena had tackle totals of 83, 76, and 62, and one more had 60 as well. Close to 1000 yards rushing isn't good enough for all NCL, as St. Helena's running back had 1,129 yards as a junior. You can bet that St. Helena will prove next year why their kids deserve All-League, as they will pound the league next year.

I like VC over Fortuna in a tight game. VC played a tough schedule. This is not your average 11 seed.

There isn't a team in this bracket that had a stronger strength of schedule then Fortuna. They will win because of their DEFENSE! If they can knock Ferndale off for the 2nd time this season there will be know doubt who the best team is.
