If the FB St Pat's game was in Fort Bragg the ambulance is at the field at all times. This game location is a tragedy in so many ways

That's horrible. I thought the game couldn't even start unless and ambulance was present.

I will delete any "troll"comments.

Games no longer need an ambulance present. Only an EMT or certified athletic trainer. It has been this way for about four years.

Wolves played a fantastic game. SPSV just had too many weapons. I would have liked to have seen that game on turf!
And perhaps the CIF needs to revisit the rule on Ambulances. That kid was on the ground way to long.

Private school dominance continues in DIV and V. Yay Pope!

The concert and asphalt at Alhambra are far to close to the playing surface. The site is not as safe as most High School fields.

The PA announcer at the game last nite made in appropriate comments when he did not realize he had forgotten to turn off the microphone.

Sorry about the typo above, that was ment to say concrete not concert.

Are section can do much better than a stadium that has no bathroom or showers in the Locker room. Most of the schools in the section would be better sites than Alhambra.

Terrible typos this morning. Of course that should say "Our Section"

Other comments made by the NFHS broadcast crew were also not appropriate and unprofessional.

Could it be that simply because I have raised the question of fairness regarding the selection of the championship site that now anyone associated with Fort Bragg has been labeled a bad attitude? I have zero power over this process. My only hope is to raise awareness. My attitude should not be connected in anyway to anyone else. On the other hand officials appointed by the NCS should do everything in their power to maintain a high standard of professionalism. This includes broadcasters, PA announcers and the AD of the host site. I would invite a discussion about the definition of "High Standard of Professionalism " NCS officials should inform those appointed of professional expectations.

Newman at VC! Tough draw and again a big travel distance. Oh well you gotta play what's in front of you! Let's go Newman, the redwood empire is behind you.

I was surprised as well that no ambulance was present. We have one available at all SPSV home games, but as it's been stated, it's not required. Still NCS should of had one available.

What was the comment the announcer made if someone doesn't mind saying?

In regards to the take a knee, this is something that has been talked about during our whole season. The coaches feels that this is High School sports and not elementary school and that they don't take a knee at higher levels like College or the Pros. Some will take a knee if a player is unconscious or not moving, but this isn't the same thing. The players weren't disrespectful or mocking the player and the main thing for them is there's still a game to play. Yes I know it's still a game and someone was injured but in all honesty, taking a knee vs not is really meaningless. Taking a knee for a period of time also increases the risk of injury to players as it can cause them to stiffen up. Staying on their feet and walking around, especially given the temps, is what players need to do. I know some will respond with sportsmanship and respect for the injured player, but its just not a needed gesture. And no offense, but yelling at HS players because you don't agree with them not taking a knee isn't very "classy".

The Alhambra location wasn't ideal, but it sounds like there weren't any available in the Ft Bragg section. "Our" section has much better facilities as well and I'm sure many in between the two locations. I personally thought it should of been much closer to your location and not essentially a home game for us. At the very least somewhere close to halfway. I have to disagree that is unsafe though.

Last thing after being long winded, the Ft. Bragg FB is a damn beast. A guy that big should not be that fast or nimble. It was a great game and well played by both teams.

Sorry want to add one more thing. SPSV is playing Strathmore on their actual home field for State. Strathmore is between Fresno and Bakersfield. Their field (based on Google Maps) is not in very good condition and it will be raining heavily there the Thurs and Fri before the game. This location selection is way more confusing than the one for SPSV v Ft Bragg

Cardinal Newman has always been considered a large school in the Redwood Empire.
