All Div. IV Offense
Please look at all the posts below and let me know of any other players we should consider for the All Div. IV team. I will need any updates by 6:00 so I can start to put them on polls. Once I have them on a poll, I can't add another name.
i think we should vote on a offensive MVP before we vote on the all division team? i would put justin-sienas rb-Pardini and qb-aguayo and salesians Ching in that poll. only the two teams that reached the championship game should be eligible. any thoughts?
I have watched Salesians RB Ching play this year and think he deserves to be in the Offensive MVP Poll. I did not get to see Justin Siena play, so I would have to defer to a Justin expert on who they think is more deserving between Pardini or Aguayo
I agree on the idea of and offensive MVP poll. Ching had 710 rushing yards, 70 receiving yards, and 6 tds in his three playoff games and was the backbone of salesian's offense.
I agree although Pardini was good he had alot better OL and had a very good QB and supporting cast. On the other hand Ching faced 8-9 guys in the box every game and still wasn't contained. Justin was spying him with Pardini all game and he still managed to get 178 rushing yards, and on top of that he would have had another 40 yards but Woosley fumbled the ball in the 1st quarter and He recovered losing 40 yards
I don't think Ching should lose those 40 rushing yards for recovering a fumble. The Salesian Pride should lose 40 rushing yards off their team rushing total.
Yeah he lost 40 for recovering it. He would have had around 218 if he had those yards which would had put him over the 200+ rushing yard mark in all three playoff games.
That sounds like a great idea. What we should do is vote on an Offensive MVP with all the other positions. If Ching wins MVP, then we'll still select two RBs. Besides Ching and Pardini, who else should we put up to vote?
Someone needs check with the official statisticians rule on individual rushing yardage when recovering fumbles. If you recover your own fumble you should lose yardage, but I think in this case it should only have come off the team total. I would check, but I have no idea where to look.
There should be a MVP and then select the full team. 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 te and 5 ol. I dont think we will be watering down this All Star team with this many deserving players.
Woosley the QB was scrambling and was sacked and during that process a Justin player knocked the ball out causing it to fly backword, Ching then picked it up and was tackled. Thats how the flay went down

let's voteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
We will start tonight. I did forget that I had said earlier in the week that I would give everyone until 6:00 pm -- So I'll edit that in the post.
so whats the breakdown of how many players for each position
One QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, and 5 OL.

and vote for a defensive MVP while we are at it.

Anybody have any players from Justin or Salesian for Defensive MVP? Maybe we can vote on both MVP awards and then move on to the All-Div IV O and D.
I personally think either #52 on Siena for Defensive mvp. He dominated the line of scrimmage in the championship game

For the MVP?
Are we doing a D-IV MVP and then a D-IV team excluding the MVP

I think the MVP should be included in the team.
Because he picked it up and was tackled it is considered loss yardage to him

That play needs to be looked at a little closer to determine the yard line he picked it up and the yard line he was tackled.
Yes, that's the way it's usually done at all three levels (HS, College, and Pro).
Woosley the QB was scrambling and was sacked and during that process a Justin player knocked the ball out causing it to fly backword, Ching then picked it up and was tackled. Thats how the flay went down
And ill add that the ball went a long way when it was hit out. I think a helmet hit it and Ching picked the ball up around the 10 yard line.
