Final
Valley Christian 30, Middletown 29
It was a great, great game, one of the best this year. Each team had their chances; each team had momentum at different times. I hope tomorrow's games are just as competitive.

Middletown just did not have a running game. That’s why they went for a kick in overtime for the extra point. Valley Christian dominated the first three quarters but gave it away in the fourth. Overtime showed everybody VC “had what it takes”. It was windy late in the game; I guess the smell from the stables must have shifted.
Right, they went for the kick in overtime instead of the run or the pass. Passing was all they had and they played it safe with a kick. VC coach had a choice to either play it safe and kick for the tie or go for two.
I agree Middletown didn't make an aggressive call, but they could have attempted a run or pass for two. They had just ran the ball in from three yards out, so all options were on the table. They chose the safe way and lost.

Middltown scored with a three yard dive with one minute left. They could have chosen to run or pass for a two point conversion.
I think the VC coach would differ somewhat with your post-game analysis.
