4. Middletown (7-1) – Scored 40 or more points three weeks in a row.
5. Cloverdale (7-1) – Impressive 31-14 win over Fort Bragg .
6. St. Patrick-St. Vincent (5-3) – Lost to Encinal 55-19.
7. Fort Bragg (6-2) – Faces a resurgent Willits team that has scored 142 points in the last two games.
8. Berean Christian (6-2) – Will likely take second place in the Bay League.

The playoff field looks to be wide open this year. Any of the top seven teams could beat each other on any given day. Ferndale is kind of a wild card because they have not played any good teams this year unless you count Fortuna as good. I'm not sure if I like them as a #1 or #2 seed in the playoffs. St Mary's only two losses have come from very good teams. Heritage is D1 and St. M's only lost by 1 TD to Encinal, who only lost by two TD's to Serra, who only lost by 1 TD to DE LA SALLE. Talk about your 6 degrees of separation.
St. Mary's might get the number one...But if Ferndale finishes undefeated they will likely get the number one or two seed.
