Fort Bragg (8-2) at Salesian (7-2)

Salesian has scrapped together a pretty good season. They only have two losses, a 49-20 defeat at Middletown, and a 34-15 loss at Castlemont (Div. II). I think they are a lot better than the team that lost to Middletown early in the season, but so are a lot of the other teams in the playoffs. Fort Bragg also has two losses, a 20-8 set back against Middletown, and a 12-7 hard-fought loss to St. Vincent. So how do they match-up? Both teams have strong running games, with perhaps the edge to Salesian. Fort Bragg gets the edge with their passing game. The defenses are good, with both having a soft spot for power running games and the passing game, hence their losses to Middletown. This looks to be a close, close game. This one should be every bit as good to watch as the St. Patrick-St. Vincent-Justin Siena game. In the playoffs, home field gives a team a tiny advantage. I think it's one Salesian exploits by virtue of an extra-point.

Prediction: Salesian wins 21-20.
